A Midsummer Night's Dream

Middlesbrough Theatre

September 27

The city of Athens has a buzz about it when Duke Theseus arranges a marriage to his Queen Hippolyta, Queen of the Amazons, played by Filipa Jeronimo.

Two young couples are also having problems.

Hermia loves Lysander, but her father Egius demands that she marries Demetrius. And Helena loves Demetrius, but Demetrius says that she makes him feel sick.

Meanwhile in the fairyland, Oberon and Titania - King and Queen of the Fairies - are having their own problem.

They are arguing about the little Indian prince, so Titania flies back to fairyland along with her fairy friends.

The talented Stuart Boother plays Theseus as a very posh individual.

Paul Parris plays Puck as Oberon’s assistant and makes you laugh throughout the show.

Julian Chenery and Matt Gimblett, the directors, created one great show with anger and happiness.

“Stuart looked very much the part of an Icelandic warrior… he was totally believable and has stunning vocals … I actually had goosebumps”
